Police operatives in Adamawa state have arrested a 57-year-old commercial driver for allegedly st#bbing his 40-year-old estranged wife to d#ath in Gombi area of the state.
The suspect, identified as Muhammed Alfa, allegedly st#bbed his wife and mother of his eight children, Hamsatu Muhammad, with a knife after she moved out of their home following an argument that resulted in divorce and separation.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Suleiman Nguroje in a statement said, “The wife relocated to a separate house close to her former house. Trouble started after she removed a zink door of her former house to fix on her new apartment.
The suspect, who was angered by her action, used knife and st#bbed her on the neck, she was rushed to the hospital where she was confirmed d#ad.”
