The Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old Fridge technician for allegedly st*bbing one Damilare Oladipupo, 42, to d*ath in the Agbado area of the state.
The suspect, Toheeb Akanji, a.k.a T.cash was arrested on Saturday afternoon, December 25, 2021, following a distress call received by the police at Agbado divisional headquarters.
It was gathered that Oladipupo, a transport union leader, was at an hotel to celebrate Christmas with the owner when he was st*bbed to d*ath.
The command’s spokesperson, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement said, “When the police got to the scene, it was gathered that the deceased was lured out of the hotel and st*bbed on the chest, hand and face.
It was also gathered that Oladipupo str*ggled with his assailant and succeeded to seize the cardigan worn by him and the knife used.”
Oyeyemi explained that the victim was rushed to the hospital where a doctor confirmed him d*ad. He added that upon interrogation, Akanji confessed to the k!lling of the deceased and claimed it was the devil’s handiwork.
He stated that Akanji claimed to have gone to the hotel to find out who b*at and inj*red one of his boys, but on getting there, the deceased accosted him and a f!ght ensued. It was then he brought out his knife and st*bbed Oladipupo many times.
