A suspected r*tualist, Abideen Raheem, 42, has admitted exhuming a body, s*vering its h*ad and selling it to a friend for N25,000.
Raheem was among 43 suspects paraded by the Oyo State Police Command in Ibadan on Tuesday, December 7. Speaking with journalists, the suspect said he sold the body part to a friend who needed it for money r*tuals.
“I wanted to help my friend who contacted me that he needed a human h*ad for money r*tuals. I cut the h*ad with a kn*fe, and took it away to my friend who told me that he needed it for money r*tual..
I exhumed the body from one public cemetery in Olunde area of Ibadan on Saturday and immediately I got it, I called my friend Moruf Ganiyu to come and pick it. He was arrested with the h*ad on his way home. It was his arrest that led to my arrest, “ Raheem said.
Ganiyu said, “I discussed the issue with my friends Raheem and he promised to get me the h*ad, upon getting it, he called me, I collected it and I gave him the sum of N25,000 for his job, I actually wanted to use the head for money r*tual.”
