A young man identified as Oliver Ezra Barawani, has d*ed after he was allegedly sh*t by a police officer in Taraba state.
According to a Facebook user, Abainitus Akila Hamman, the deceased was allegedly sh*t by a policeman at a checkpoint in Kpanti Napo, near Jalingo on Monday, November 22.
Details of the incident are still sketchy at the time of this report but it was gathered that the Taraba State University graduate was driving alongside his boss, the Chairman of Lau Local Government Area, when the incident happened. He was transported to the hospital where he was confirmed de*d.
Meanwhile, Olayinka Gabriel on Facebook, reports that two police officers have been arrested in connection with the m*rder of the deceased while residents have taken to the streets to demand an end to police br*tality in the state.
