The Police in Enugu have arrested 36-year-old Chidi Onyishi and 95-year-old Pastor, Okeke Eneokwor, for allegedly k*lling Chimdalu Chidi, 7, son of Onyishi for money r*tual.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Daniel Ndukwe (ASP) said the arrest was made possible following the receipt of reliable information. He said father of the deceased had on October 22nd, reported that his son was missing. Unknown to him, what he thought to have done in the secret was already in the public domain.
The image maker of the police command said the suspect was arrested on November 6, after a painstaking investigation. He further stated that Police preliminary investigation revealed that Onyishi later confessed to the crime and led Police operatives to arrest his accomplice, 95-year-old Pastor Okeke Eneokwor, “who is said to be blind”.
Furthermore, according to the press statement, he also led the detectives and its medical team to a stream in Abakpa-Nike, Enugu, where the decomposing c*rpse of the minor was exhumed from a shallow grave he, alongside his cohorts, m*rdered and buried the child on October 20, 2021.
