Nursing mom arrested while attempting to smuggle dr*gs into NDLEA cell for suspect in custody

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have arrested a 35-year-old nursing mom, Mariam Drissu, while allegedly attempting to smuggle ‘loud’ hidden in wraps of akpu into NDLEA cell for a suspect in custody.


Director, Media & Advocacy of the agency, Femi Babafemi, in a statement on Sunday, October 24, said the suspect was arrested in Benin City, Edo State, on Thursday, October 21.

According to him, “Officers on duty had while searching the food brought by Mariam for her relation in custody discovered two cups of “Loud” cannabis weighing 13grams buried inside the food (akpu) meant for the suspect in custody.”
