A female student of Obafemi Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun state, has reportedly d*ed after being denied treatment at the University’s Health centre.
It was gathered that the student identified as Adesina Aishat Omowunmi, until her d*ath was a 400L student of Foreign Language of the institution.
According to a source, the deceased who was seriously sick was rushed to the health center on Thursday evening but didn’t get treatment. It is reported that she was allegedly denied treatment by the medical personnel on duty who insisted on presentation of her health centre card or school identity card.
Unfortunately, Aisha passed on as she didn’t get treatment on time. Her d*ath has now sparked a protest by students of the institution who are demanding better medical care to avoid a reoccurrence. [Swipe]
