The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji YahayaBello has enjoined Nigerian youths to aspire to take up leadership positions in Nigeria come 2023.
Governor Bello made the charge in his Abuja residence while playing host to leaders of youth groups in Nigeria. The Governor who is also aspiring to become the President of Nigeria in 2023 wondered why the younger generation usually shy away taking up leadership roles, which he attributed as part of the indices of leadership deficit in the country.
Governor Yahaya Bello, fondly called “The unifier” for his role in uniting different ethnic groups said, the youths should be bold enough to take up the challenge of seeking to lead: “Our younger generation look up to tomorrow hoping for brighter days ahead. I urge Nigerian Youths, let us fight for our today to ensure a better tomorrow for the future generation. Come 2023, the youths shall take the seat of leadership of the Federal Republic of Nigeria” Bello noted.
He maintained that the youth has the numerical strength and the requisite knowledge to advance the course of leadership as well as development.
