The police in Kwara State have arrested six suspects who allegedly abducted a 300-level female student of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Isiaq Khadeejah.
Khadijat was abducted last Sunday at one of the Malete off-campuses of the institution, allegedly, by the suspects, who demanded N50million ransom for her release.
The commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Tuesday Assayomo, in a statement on Saturday, August 28, said the suspects were arrested as police rescue the victim unhurt.
It was gathered that the K*dnappers were tracked through a POS they wanted to use to collect the ransom in Shao, the next town to Malete in the Moro LGA of the state.
”Six suspects involved in the act have been arrested, different categories of weapons used in the k*dnap were also recovered,” he said.
