Friends of a businessman simply identified as Azeez, are demanding for justice and calling for an end to police br*tality after he was almost k*lled in Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that the tragic incident happened on Wednesday, August 18. Azeez was on a bike heading home when police officers reportedly attached to Iyaganku police division in the state, accosted the bike-man to allegedly collect bribe.
“The bike-man refused to stop and the trigger-happy police officers in a bid to clamp down the rider, cock their g*n and the b*llet hit Azeez. On seeing what they had done, the police officers took to their heels. We immediately rushed the victim to the hospital where the b*llet was extracted. Azeez is still in pains as we speak and we urge the relevant authorities to take action,” a source said. [Swipe for GRAPHIC content]
