A lady simply identified as Laureta has been arrested for allegedly k*lling a businessman identified as Chukwuemeka.
It is reported the suspect was arrested after business associates of the deceased launched a search for him after all efforts made to reach out to him proved abortive.
Chukwuemeka was reportedly found in his bedroom in a pool of bl*od. It was gathered that the incident happened on Sunday, Aug 1, 2021. The deceased’s Mercedes Benz was tracked and Laureta was caught chilling in a hotel on Wednesday, Aug 4.
“She revealed the deceased was her benefactor and that she ran away with his N7m and car documents after k*lling him. She has been transferred from Ewet housing police station to the State’s CID where she will be properly interrogated. Her reason for k*lling Chukwuemeka remains unknown,” a source said.
