A 26-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly stealing no fewer than 26 generators in Akure, the Ondo State.
The suspect, Opeyemi Tosin, was arrested alongside two accomplices, ThankGod James, 22, and 23-year-old Sodiq Segun, who allegedly help him sell the stolen generators.
Tosin, a dry cleaner, while owing up to the crime at the state police headquarters disclosed that he has been in the business of stealing generators for five months ago.
While revealing how he stole the items, Tosin said he surveys the environment before going back to carry out the crime. The suspect added that his two accomplices were generator repairers who look for buyers for the stolen generators.
