A South African businesswoman, Confidence Thato, is currently writhing in pains at a hospital in Instanbul, Turkey, after her boyfriend, identified as Darlington Ozokwe aka Donkwe, allegedly assaulted her.
According to the victim, they’ve both been dating for five months and she has suffered domestic violence in his hands but stayed with him after he apologized. “I love Nigerians so much. I stood in support with them during the Xenophobia crisis. I don’t know why I’m being treated this way. Darlington visited me recently and accused me of stealing his personal documents that he claims to have brought to my house.
He was drunk. He ransacked my apartment and we had an argument and he started beating me. I collapsed and was rushed to the hospital by my neighbors and brother. I reported the case but he denied saying I stole from him and that I locked him up and tried to r*pe him in my apartment — which are all blatant lies.
He threatened to make life hard for me in Instanbul after I told him I was going to take this up with the relevant authorities. He has gone around engaging in a smear campaign against me,” she said. [Swipe]
