Student survives after being shot by armed robbers for resisting rape in Rivers State



The 200 level student of the Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, in Port Harcourt, who was shot by armed robbers for resisting rape, has been identified as Jeremiah Blessing.


According to reports, Blessing was shot at her school’s hostel, by armed robbers around 9:00 PM on January 13, 2020, after they collected her money, phone, other valuables. 

It was gathered that students heard gunshots and rushed out of the school campus. When they got to the scene, they met the victim in a pool of blood.

She was rushed to the school clinic where first aid was administered on her before being taken to another hospital by the Police.
