A 28-year-old security guard attached to a company at Abonnema Wharf in Port Harcourt City, Rivers State, Mr. Gospel Gbaraka, is dead after allegedly being shot by a policeman, identified as Inspector James.
It was gathered that the trigger happy policeman, allegedly murdered the deceased at his duty post on the premises of the company on Sunday. Although, the reason for the shooting has not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report, but sources say the policeman shot the victim out of anger.

The father of the deceased, Mr. Innocent Gbaraka, has however, said he’d commit suicide if the killer of his son was not brought to book, adding that the deceased was his only hope. He called on the Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police and well-meaning Nigerians to ensure justice was served in the matter. [Swipe]
