The police in Delta State have arrested 41-year-old Ame Edjeket, who caged his wife and mother of his eight children, Gladys, for over three years on allegations that she is a witch and was behind his financial woes at their home in Orerokpe area of the state.
According to reports, Ame told police officers that his wife was a witch and mentally unstable and that he had taken her back to her family members but they rejected her.
Human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu, disclosed Gladys, who was rescued on Tuesday, November 17, is currently receiving medical attention at the Orerokpe General hospital in Delta state. [Swipe]
