Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has said that criminal elements have infiltrated the ranks of peaceful protests. TheCable News is reporting.
He disclosed this in a state-wide broadcast on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. He said that the criminal elements were in pursuit of nefarious intent which had no nexus with the noble objectives of the EndSARS protest.
Governor Bello added that it was now time for the youth to step back and explore other forms of dissent which will not provide crowd cover for persons and agenda which they obviously do not endorse.
He further stated that the nation’s leadership be accorded some time and breathing space to push through on promises of change.
