The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted the visa ban on Nigeria. This is coming after the federal government went tough on countries that would not accept Nigerian travellers into their territories.
According to a tweet by the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Hadi Sirika, the UAE has agreed to issue visas to Nigerians. Consequently, the Federal Government of Nigeria has agreed to lift the ban on Emirates Airlines.
Recall, that there has been speculations that UAE placed a visa ban on Nigeria after the arrest of Internet fraudster, Hushpuppi — a speculation which the country has denied, stating that it was due to COVID-19.
