Lady slumps while protesting her sack in Cross River


An unidentified lady, on Monday, September 21, 2020, slumped while protesting her sack by the Cross River State Government.



The women was part of the over 2500 dismissed civil servants who took to the new state secretariat, in Calabar, to protest over what they described as “unfair and illegal delisting from the state payroll.”


The protesting civil servants were delisted from the state’s payroll by the Governor Benedict Ayade-led administration 13 months ago in an exercise that began in 2018 and ended in August 2019.


According to reports, the woman who was until her sack a staff of the ministry of health and she was later revived and taken home.
