Two upcoming musicians found dead in studio, others hospitalized

Two budding artistes identified as Sunday Akhigbe aka Santa Pupa Boya and Ajibawo Lawal aka Folarin Law , were found dead on Thursday, Sept. 10,2020 in a studio at Awolusi, Alagbado, Lagos State.

According to reports, the duo were said to have performed all night in the studio and were found dead around 7 in the morning. It is said that residents brought out a generator and some hard drugs from the studio, fueling speculations that they might havedied from fumes or effects of hard drugs.

However, manager to the deceased, Adams Darootz Yemmy, in a Facebook post, says that his client doesn’t drink but was a serial smoker . He also claimed that Santa Pupa Boya might have been poisoned.

Adams went further to state that they were five people in the studio as against four that is being reported indicating that three others including the studio manager, Muritala Azeez, are hospitalized .

According to the Police attached to Alagbado division, two corpses were recovered , and others hospitalized following a tip-off that a crowd had converged around the studio area where rumor had it that some persons died inside.

They also confirmed that after a thorough search, generator , condoms, bread and food that the deceased vomited and substances suspected to be hard drugs, including Indian hemp were found in the studio.

The Lagos State PPPRO, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident and noted that investigations were ongoing to unravel the mystery behind the deaths while friends to the deceased have taken to social media to pay tributes to them.[Swipe]
