A 75-year-old tortoise on Tuesday underwent a successful shell reconstruction surgery at the Veterinary Clinic Sokoto.
It was gathered that the septuagenarian was ran over by a vehicle (Hilux) and got his shell cracked and broken in Argungu, Kebbi State.
A team comprising of veterinarians from the clinic and the department of Surgery and Radiology, Faculty Of Veterinary Medicine, Usmanu Danfodiyo Univeristy Sokoto (UDUS), spent hours on the patient.
