A 32-year-old welder, identified as Murtala Dare, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his neighbor, Lukeman Kabiru, to death in Lokoja, Kogi State.
The incident happened on Sunday night at a popular bar. According to reports, at about 11:00 pm, Dare had wanted to beat a prostitute for taking a customer to the back of a building for a quickie.
The suspect has a penchant for collecting fees for the use of the spot, so he interrupted their romp and threatened to beat the girl for not paying.
However, Kabiru, who was a carpenter and father of two, stopped him from assaulting the lady. Angered by the deceased move, Dare broke a bottle and stabbed him on the neck. [Swipe to view graphic content]
