The Enugu State police command have released a photo of 24-year-old mother of three, Mrs. Ifeoma Ozougwu, who drilled a 6-inches nail on two different places on her 10-year-old Maid’s head.
According to the command’s spokesperson, Daniel Ndukwe Ikea, Ifeoma, and her husband, Jude Ozougwu, 40, were arrested on Thursday following a tip-off alerting the police of the inhuman treatment that the victim was being subjected to.
Ikea disclosed that preliminary investigation showed that the suspect used different objects, including hot pressing iron, iron rod, and nails to inflict several grievous bodily harm as well as inserting pepper into the victim’s private part.
“The state Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmad Abdur-Rahman has directed the immediate launch of a thorough investigation and prosecution of the suspect, her husband, and any other culpable accomplices to the crime,” Ikea said.
