The number of casualties recorded in the building collapse along Yar’Adua Drive in Owerri, Imo State, has risen to 15, according to Mr Evans Ugoh, Head of the Imo/Abia State Operations Office of the National Emergency Management Agency.
The eight storey building under construction, collapsed on Thursday, April 30, 2020. The Chairman of Owerri Capital Development Authority, Mr Innocent Ikpamezie, later blamed the collapse on poor engineering work.
