Explosion: Lagos disburses N2.5m support to deceased families

The Lagos State Government has presented N2.5m cheque each to the families who lost their loved ones in the March 15 Abule Ado explosions.

Twenty-three persons were confirmed dead, 586 displaced and hundreds of properties destroyed in the multiple blasts said to have been caused by pipeline rupture.

Deputy Governor of Lagos, Dr Obafemi Hamzat announced on Twitter today, April 22, that the families of the 23 deceased identified by the state have been presented with relief cheques

He said: “We hope the money will help provide some relief even as they miss their loved ones. We are also working with safety, power and other stake holders to find a lasting solution to issues.”
