Nigerian lady breaks 150-old jinx, emerges 1st black MLA elected to Manitoba Legislature

No black person had ever been elected to the Manitoba Legislature in the 150-year history of the province, until Nigerian psychiatric nurse, Uzoma Asagwara, broke the jinx on Tuesday in Canada.

She won the Union Station seat for the NDP. The first-generation Canadian whose parents are Nigerian, is a longtime community activist in Winnipeg’s core.

Attention!!!  “I don’t think I deserve this sort of punishment from God,” Nigerian lady laments, after losing 6 siblings and both parents within 2 years.
