Gas explosion kills lady, 4 kids in Delta State
Tragedy struck in Okwe market Asaba, Delta State, on Thursday, as a 4-month old baby, her 3-year old sister and their mother, as well as two teenagers, were killed following an explosion at a gas retail outlet.
It was gathered one of the victims, Ada, was cooking in a provision store owned by her friend, Jennifer, who had gone to Onitsha to purchase goods, when fire gushed into the kiosk through a gas leakage at the nearby gas refilling store.
An eyewitness said: “The fire gutted the shop. When the woman realised that her two kids were inside the shop, she ran inside to rescue them but unfortunately the fire caught her inside with two other kids that came to buy items.
