Lagos bans sponsorship of pilgrimages to Mecca, Jerusalem

The Lagos State’s commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Abdulateef Abdulhakeem, says the state has finally banned state sponsorship of people who embark on pilgrimages to Mecca or Jerusalem, saying it is the most irresponsible way to spend tax payers’ money.  

He said the government decided to ban the sponsorship because it amounts to injustice for certain individuals to continue to benefit from the government to the detriment of other members of the society…. adding dt d decision was made after Orezi and Tekno suddenly became Alhajis in Lagos wen they r nt even from d state….
