Senator Shehu Sani advocates reduction of states from 36 to 6

To reduce the cost of governance, Senator Shehu Sani has said the country should come up with 6 states in line with the geopolitical zones and that Abuja should be retained as the capital. He also called for the abolition of the bicameral National Assembly ( House of Representatives and The Senate ), saying the present system amounts to duplication of responsibilities. He said Nigeria can only afford one parliament…. it’d b lovely to see all d states in d SW merged into Ekiti under Fayose….
