Captain Abimbola Jayeola, the first Nigerian female helicopter pilot, was the captain on the Bristow helocopter that ditched in the Atlantic Ocean on Wednesday. Her split-second decision saved the lives of everyone onboard and several families linked to them. She hails from Abeokuta in Ogun state and she is a 2008 graduate of the Bristow Academy in Florida, USA.
