The daughter of a mechanic wins Lagos State spelling bee

Boluwatife Tijani, 12, emerged the overall winner of this year’s edition of the Lagos State Spelling Bee competition among pupils in the public primary schools. She is a primary six pupil and head girl of Araromi Primary School, Orile-Agege. The
competition was organized by the newly established Office of Education Quality Assurance to enhance students’ spelling, vocabulary skills and the correct use of English.

She was given a medal, trophy and N150k for her exemplary performance. She wants to become a doctor…. she dedicated the award to Wizkid’s son, Boluwatife, who she believes was intentionally named after her cuz they want him to b brilliant too…….
