Former Niger Delta Militant leader, Tompolo has his Coastal Protection Contract revoked by Buhari

The contract has reportedly been terminated with immediate effect. GEJ, in 2011, awarded the contract to provide security along Nigeria’s maritime borders to Global West Vessel Specialists Nigeria, a
company owned by Tompolo.

It was worth a meager sum of $103m ( N21bn ) according to source at the Federal Ministry of Transport. President Buhari has however instructed the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (Nimasa) to discontinue payments. Others who benefitted from similar contracts include Asari-Dokubo, Chief Bipobiri Ajube, OPC leaders, Dr Fasheun and Gani Adams.

Pioneer Nimasa chairman Alhaji Tijjani Ramalan, alleged last month that Tompolo’s company was paid N1.5bn monthly for the contract and the country still loses more than 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily to oil thieves….. including you and I……
