They are all members of an international drug cartel, who imported $2.5m worth of methamphetamine into New Zealand. They were bursted after their mule, Trevor Miranda, 69, was arrested. He was caught at Auckland Airport with $1.5m worth of
methamphetamine, stuffed inside shoes, and agreed to help police nab those behind the operation.
The 4 Nigerian-born defendants were sentenced yesterday and will be deported after serving a third of their sentences.
