They died at Woji, Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State, after eating dog meat from a popular inn in the area and washing it down with a local gin. The dog meat was cooked by one Friday Dickson, popularly called Etiaba and the local gin was brought by a
man from one of the SW states who claimed he was celebrating a chieftaincy title he recently bagged in his home town.
Etiaba had been in the area for a long time, running an inn where he cooks only dog meat in Mini-Woji Road at Woji Town. They were confirmed dead some hours after eating the meat. Their death has been traced to the local gin.
Many people also lost their lives recently in Ondo State after consuming a local gin. Etiaba and the Yoruba man fled Woji after the people were confirmed dead….. all dogs in Nigeria av also issued a joint statement dt they’re still very much safe to eat…..
