Lucky David, a 35-year-old mobile gospel preacher, was yesterday remanded at Kirikiri Prisons by a Court 2 in Lagos for stealing a Lexus jeep. David, on May 1 at 9.00 a.m at Idimu in Ejigbo, Lagos, impersonated as a
gospel preacher, clutching a hand bell pretended to be preaching around the residence of one Mrs Stella Ogunfatimi and asking them to repent of their bad ways.
However, as soon as Stella came out of her jeep to pick something in her house, David sneaked into the compound and drove her car away. He was later apprehended in a traffic jam at Iyana Iba-LASU road after Stella contacted the police at Idimu Division
David confessed that he actually came from Edo State to Lagos to steal vehicles. And that he pretends to be preaching the gospel to deceive people in order accomplish his mission….. bt he says he has won enuf souls for Christ.
