School students in Osun state rock church garments to counter students wearing hijab

Today, some students of Baptist High School, Adeeke, Iwo, came to school in choir robes and other church garments, just as many female Muslim students wore hijabs. None of them was chased out of the classes for appearing in different clothes.

On June 3, 2016, Justice Jide Falola of the Osun State High Court had given a verdict that Muslim students should be allowed to wear hijab in all public schools in the state because it was part of their fundamental rights.

The CAN recently held an emergency meeting and threatened that it would direct Christian pupils to start wearing choir robes and other religious garments to schools should the state government implement the judgment…. traditional worshippers r expected to react soon….
