The Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the state increased from N10.45bn in 2014 to N14.79bn in 2015, Gov. Obiano’s Senior Special Adviser on IGR, Charles Okafor, has revealed, adding that the IGP is expected to hit about N36bn or more by the end of this year.
He also said the present government does not owe its workers and the state is among the few states in the federation that did not benefit from the bail-out fund. The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) identified 11 states which recorded improvement in revenue generation in 2015.
They are: Ogun, Anambra, Borno, Edo, Bauchi, Abia, Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Taraba and Sokoto. Anambra came 2nd in the chart behind Ogun…. bt will overtake it b4 June….
