Angolan rapper, 16 other activists, jailed for protesting the president’s 37-year rule

  

The sentences, ranging from 2.0 to 8.5 years in prison, were handed down on Monday. Rapper Luaty Beirao, was given a 5.5-year sentence for rebellion against president Jose Eduardo dos Santos who has been ruling since 1979 and is Africa’s 2nd longest-serving leader…. let’s hope they learn their lessons….
