34-year-old Samuel Onochie, who says he bagged a diploma in law from a university in Benin, Edo State, allegedly sexually assaulted the woman at about 6a.m on Sunday, while she was passing through an
area at Jakande, Lekki, Lagos.
He ambushed her and reportedly threw her on the floor, before stripping her wrapper. He had dipped his finger into her private part and was about to penetrate her when a man was drawn to the scene by her wailing.
The man was said to have held Onochie, while Esther rushed to the Ilasan Police Division to report the incident. He was arrested and arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court, yesterday, on one count of sexual assault.
He pleaded not guilty and the presiding magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum, before adjourning the case till March 14, 2016. Cc: Punchng
