For the second time in two weeks, Turkish Airlines, yesterday airlifted passengers into Abuja without bringing in their luggage. This left scores of passengers stranded at the airport. The Managing Director of the
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Saleh Dunoma, advised the airline to resolve the recurrent cases of arriving passengers without luggage once and for all, following the latest occurrence.
Dunoma expressed the minister’s displeasure to the management of Turkish Airlines, describing as unacceptable the reoccurrence barely two weeks after a similar incident led to breach of airport security.
The incident is coming just a week after the airline finished paying numerous compensations to passengers on Flight TK 624 from Istanbul to Abuja, which arrived without their luggage…… some luggage however arrived Abuja yesterday while their owners were left in Turkey…..
