Dr. Stella Ameyo Adadevoh was the Nigerian doctor who single-handedly prevent the exponential spread of the Ebola virus after she prevented Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian diplomat that brought it to the
country, from leaving the hospital despite all pressures.

Stella eventually died of Ebola. Months after her demise, a film, 93 Days, was made in her memory but now, her family has distanced itself from it and threatened to seek legal redress for any falsehoods and innuendos in the movie with regards to the late doctor and her family.

This was revealed in a letter posted on Twitter yesterday, by Kwami Adadevoh, a prominent member of the Adadevoh family. The cast of the film include Hollywood star Danny Glover, Nollywood veterans, Bimbo Akintola, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey and more.

According to the letter, not only did the family get the script after the movie was completed, the producers didn’t seek the consent of the family to use the name, image or likeness of the late Consultant for commercial purposes.
