The Kano state command has recovered more than one thousand cows and arrested three suspected cattle rustlers in Falgore forest.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the suspects had specialized in armed robbery and kidnapping and had been part of the syndicate terrorizing communities and travellers along Falgore forest. .
He identified the suspects as Sa’idu Abdullahi, 23, Suleman Abdullahi and Lawan Mohammed aged 30 and 25 respectively. .
He said assorted fire arms, including two AK-47 assault rifles and three pump actions with over 110 rounds of live ammunition and cartridges were recovered from the suspects. .
Efforts are in progress to arrest the fleeing members of the gang with a view to recover remaining cattle and arms in their possession.
