A Good Samaritan got more than he bargained for while trying to rescue two children from their abusive mother in imiringi, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, as he was stoned in the process.However, the children were eventually rescued by an NGO, DO Foundation, through its Executive Director, Dise Ogbise-Erhisere, who is also the Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association, NBA Sagbama branch.
It was gathered that the mother of the children, had on several occasions, consistently assaulted her children and the concerned neighbor, who intervened, was injured with a big stone aimed at him by the lady.
The matter was reported to the police but the suspect escaped before their arrival. The children has since been taken into protective custody
