Suspected chairlady of commercial sex workers in Calabar charged to court

  
Abigail Nweke was charged to Magistrate’s Court 1, presided over by Magistrate Michael Edoki, for allegedly taking teenage girls from Benue State and turning them to commercial sex workers in Calabar, Cross river State, Vanguradngr reports.
She allegedly abducted 6 teenage girls from Vandeikiya and Ekun LGAs of Benue State and took them to Vegas Flex, a brothel in Calabar, located at Bedwell Street.

According to the police prosecutor, Maxwell Bassey, Abigail deceitfully took the girls from their homes in Benue State without the consent of their parents and “forced them into prostitution, which is a criminal offence and punishable with 5 years imprisonment if found guilty.”

Abigail, who pleaded not guilty to the charge, said she was arrested based on the report of some people who are envious of her progress…. bt dt nothing can stop her cuz she’s all d way up….
