The Kaduna state government has enacted a law that makes it a criminal offence for any person to buy from a street hawker, making both the hawker and buyer liable for prosecution. This was made known yesterday by the Spokesman of Kaduna State House of Assembly, Nuhu Goro Shadalafiya.
He said Gov. Nasir El-Rufai should be credited for new act passed last month. On the anti-hawking law, he said: “We have also pass a bill into law to checkmate hawkers who deprive people from owning shops.”…. Gov. Ambode is also looking at adopting d law, to put an end to d sales of gala inside Lagos traffic….
