2 graduates from Borno state get full scholarship to study abroad 

  

Borno state Governor, Shettima has presented cheques to 2 female graduates who emerged as overall best students out of 37, 259 graduating students of the University of Maiduguri at the just concluded 22nd combined convocation, to study Msc in the UK.

Fatima Zakari Abatcha is a first class student of the Department of Computer Engineering, who also emerged as the overall best graduating student, while Ramatu Mustapha Goni is also a first class student of the Department of Geology, who came second to Fatima.

Fatima who is proceeding to Bradford University to study Msc in Computer Engineering, got the sum of N7,129,200.00 and Ramatu who will study Msc in Petroleum & Geoscience Exploration, got the sum of N11,450,000.00 as tuition fees

Gov. Shettima on his own part, pledges to personally shoulder their upkeep throughout the duration of their study. The presentation was made during a courtesy call to the Governor by 29 female medical students of the National University of Sudan, who are being sponsored by the Borno state government.

The 29 medical students were in Maiduguri to undergo a 2 month compulsory hospital attachment while the remaining 31 students who are studying at Elrazi University, are yet to arrive…. cuz they chose to trek….
