Yinusa, a longstanding customer of Ese’s mother, Mrs. Rose Oruru, had taken her to Kano State from Bayelsa State, had her converted to Islam and forcefully married her. Her release came after the Emir of Kano issued a directive earlier today, ordering the state Sharia Commission to liaise with office of the Deputy Inspector General of police, zone 1, to commence the process of repatriating and reconciling Ese with her family immediately.
After 8 months, Ese, 13, finally regains her freedom. Now in the custody of the FG
