Franca Asemota, 36, was, in the early hours of yesterday, Wednesday January 27, 2016, extradited to the UK to face trial for offenses bordering on trafficking of minors. Justice Abdul Kafarati of the Federal High Court sitting in
Abuja had on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, ordered her extradition to the UK following a request through the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
She is wanted by the UK government for trafficking of minors to Europe using London Heathrow airport. The girls were promised education or jobs but were forced into prostitution. She was arrested by the EFCC, on Wednesday, March 24, 2015 in Benin, Edo State on suspicion of money laundering offenses.
On arrest, checks on her profile revealed that, she had been on the wanted list of the National Crime Agency, NCA…… everything happened on a Wednesday. I don’t see how she’d ever like Wednesday again…..
