Today, Kano State Police command arraigned the proprietor of Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo Boarding Secondary School, Kano, Prof. Ibrahim Ayagi, and
3 others, on an 8-count charge of criminal conspiracy, negligence, abetment, failure to provide information, and joint action among others.
The arraignment comes a day after the State government announced that the college should be immediately re-opened. Following an investigation ordered by the Kano State government, the school was temporarily closed for nearly 3 months.
In October, 2015, the school made news over alleged sexual assault on its students, by some unidentified persons. Some students of the school were reported to have been carnally abused by unknown perpetrators.
