One brave D.C.-area couple decided to trek out into this weekend’s massive nor’easter to capture the perfect wintry engagement photos. Felicia Sam and David Nartey left work on Friday to drive nearly 40 minutes to
play in the snow and capture it all on camera.
Sam, 27, said: “We had wanted to do a snow photo shoot for a long time. So any opportunity that presented itself, we were just going to take it. I heard on the news that there was going to be a blizzard so I said surely there’ll be snow.
I called the photographer, Dotun Ayodeji, and said, ‘Are you up for it?’ And he said, ‘Oh my God, you’re reading my mind.’ We were like kids playing in the snow. We threw snow balls at each other. We actually had a lot of fun.”
They got back home safely by following a tractor trailer that was clearing snow from the road. Sam has been engaged to Nartey, 31, since last October. She said it was fitting that they had the shoot in the middle of a nor’easter, especially since Nartey proposed right before Hurricane Joaquin….. their wedding will b in front of a storm on the Atlantic Ocean…..
